To date, the Gavers Foundation has committed more than $1,000,000 to the Piccolo Fund to support breast cancer research.

The Gavers Foundation’s partnership with the Piccolo Fund began in 2001 in recognition of the support and friendship Joy Piccolo O’Connell and others connected to the Piccolo Fund gave to Steve Gavers as he struggled with a cancer diagnosis and initial treatment. To date, the Gavers Foundation has committed more than $1,000,000 to the Piccolo Fund to support breast cancer research.

This remarkable accomplishment is made possible by the hundreds of volunteers and supporters that plan and participate every year in fundraising activities sponsored by the Gavers Foundation. These activities culminate in the annual Gavers Community Barndance, a must-attend community event held every July in Chicago’s far west suburbs.
